“I own every book Stephen King has ever written."

"That's great. That's something to be proud of."

But did you read them, f*ckface?

This is Joe Goldberg, the protagonist of this book.

A handsome, witty and wise guy.

Oh and did I mention psychopathic?

you book cover by Caroline Kepnes

Joe Goldberg works in a bookstore in New York. He seems like a normal guy with a great passion for books.

One day, a pretty lady walks into the bookstore. They flirt a little at the counter and when she leaves, he googles the name on her credit card, like any normal person would do.

Luckily, there's only one Guinevere Beck in New York City.

She lives her life on Facebook and Twitter, and it tells Joe everything he needs to know;

He finds out that she’ll be at a bar in Brooklyn tonight and decides to go and make it look like a "chance" meeting, like any normal person would do.

If you think I'm overusing the words, " normal person", just wait till you see what else he does during the course of the story.

As he becomes more and more obsessed with Beck, he orchestrates a series of events to transform himself into Beck’s perfect man, all while quietly removing the obstacles that stand in their way—even if it means murder.

This story is narrated by Joe himself and let me tell you, he is the wittiest and the most hilarious character I've ever seen.

He is a character you'll fall in love with.

Now while psychopaths aren't the best choice when you think about best friends, Joe proves again and again how they definitely can be humorous.

And the things Joe says makes so much sense that you'll start questioning your own sanity. Yup. That's how powerful his character is.

This book has suspense, thrill and so many laughs.

And oh sooo many book references!

If you like psychological thrillers, I assure you this will become one of your favorite books ever!

This book was also adapted into a Netflix series of the same name.

Go ahead, and read this book! You won't regret it.
